Parmi les vingt compétences attendues chez le chercheur expérimenté, six se révèlent être des compétences clés à maîtriser à l’avenir pour les huit pays étudiés:
- Capacité d'analyse et maîtrise des outils informatiques à haut niveau de technicité
- Capacité à travailler en interdisciplinarité
- Capacité à développer un réseau
- Culture d'entreprise et compétences en gestion
